When and Why did you start at Heart Mountain Fitness?
January of 2015. The reason was, I was having
trouble with my neck and shoulder… started with
mobility, then massage… I wasn’t interested in
Crossfit. Amy convinced me it wasn’t traditional
Crossfit. So, I started 3 times a week privately.
I ran, climbed rope, jumped rope… things I hadn’t
done since High School!
Which class time do you attend?
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday at 12:00
AND Yoga 2 times/week
What was your first impression of the Gym?
I didn’t know what to expect… I was impressed with what’s there. As far as Amy goes, she is as much Life Coach as Fitness Coach. As you're working out she asks how you're feeling... she will not hurt you.
How has your training at Heart Mountain Fitness impacted your life outside of the Gym?
I do 30 Minutes of Rolling in the mornings. I'm taking less insulin for my diabetes.
What is the worst habit you have that you’ve changed?
Stopped drinking diet pop.
What advice would you give someone new?
Don’t be afraid – don’t doubt your capability – do what you do – even if it’s lifting 5 lbs
Outside the gym, what are your Activities / Hobbies?
Hiking, walking, running occasionally (ran 3 – 5k with daughter-in-law), fish, golfed up until this year.
I have 6 grandkids from age 2 - 17
Do you have a personal Mantra?
May I be Happy. May I be Healthy. May I know No Sorrow. May I have Peace

What kind of music do you work out to?
60s – 70s Rock, however I don’t really hear it when I’m working out… I don’t pay attention to it.
I like them all except Turkish Get Ups or Lunges.
