This is where the teamwork really begins! #gymtherapy
When and Why did you start at Heart Mountain Fitness?
Summer of 2015. My husband Kelly went to school with Amy...
when I moved here, Kelly called Amy and said 'my girlfriend
from California is a yoga teacher, can she teach at your gym?'
Amy will tell you her side of the story, but when I went in to
meet Amy we totally hit it off.
Which class time do you attend?
Sometimes the 8:30 class, sometimes noon, sometimes 5:00
What was your first impression of the Gym?
Literally loved every single bit of it. Not only Amy and her
energy, but looking at her quotes around the room, it felt like
I was coming home.
How has your training at Heart Mountain Fitness
impacted your life outside of the Gym?
Being pregnant and about to pop, I'm still there working out.
Amy protects us. She trains us for what goes on outside the gym. The hard work makes you a stronger person on the outside. The women cheer each other on.
What is the worst habit you have that you’ve changed?
Stopped biting my nails. I believe it has to do with the lifestyle here. I teach Yoga and do energy work... I can't work on people if I damage my own hands.
What advice would you give someone new?
You can't do any better than this gym. No matter your age or shape you're in, HMF is the answer. One of my favorite things Amy says: as you get older things don't get easier. The laundry basket doesn't get lighter... you can live life in a more strong and coherent way making the workouts more applicable.
Outside the gym, what are your Activities / Hobbies?
Anything outside... hiking, horseback riding, hanging with my dog and horses.
Eating - my husband is a good cook! and Spending time with friends and family.
Do you have a personal Mantra?
Just Breathe - and all will Balance.
What kind of music do you like to work out to?
Depends on my mood and the workout.
What is your favorite exercise?
Burpees. And weighted exercises - Weighted step ups, weighted squats, farmers carry... I don't like running.
Married. Baby girl on the way.
I grew up on the East coast, moved to Hollywood and found true happiness in Cody
