When and Why did you start at
Heart Mountain Fitness?
June 15, 2015. My youngest grandson was born
on March 14th, 2015... he was an 8lb baby and we
were doing daycare for him carrying him upstairs.
I started at HMF and by that August I picked him up
at daycare, put him in the carseat, and hauled him out
with no problem. And it keeps getting better. I can
now throw my 6yr old grandson at the pool, and
carry 50lb sandbags when needed!

8:30 Monday Wednesday Friday
What was your first impression of the Gym?
How has your training at Heart Mountain Fitness impacted your life outside of the Gym?
I'm stronger and able to do more things than ever before. I had never hiked before starting at HMF - the first one was hiking Cedar Mountain with the class.
What is the worst habit you have that you’ve changed?
Sitting around. I love the saying "You'll never have this breath again." I'd never through about that before.
What advice would you give someone new?
HMF is not intimidating - it's very welcoming! Amy is very helpful even if you don't know what we're doing for the day. The workout is presented with safety in mind. Function and Safety.
Outside the gym, what are your Activities / Hobbies?
Quilt. Work with orchids. I'm not as fatigued by anything anymore.
Do you have a personal Mantra?
We are stronger than we think we are.
What kind of music do you like to work out to?
Oldies - 60s.
What is your favorite exercise?
Anything with forceful strength. Slam Balls, Tire Flipping...
