When and Why did you start at Heart Mountain Fitness?
I started March 6, 2017. I was ready to get into something - was going
to start Yoga, but Misti needed someone to go with so I started at
Heart Mountain Fitness.
Which class time do you attend?
8:30 Monday Wednesday Friday and Yoga on Wednesdays and
Pilates 2 times a week.
How has your training at Heart Mountain Fitness
impacted your life outside of the Gym?
I'm stronger, and more aware of things I should / shouldn't be doing.
I think about what I'm doing and how I'm doing it when I'm doing tasks at
home... I didn't think I'd ever get there. Amy and Sloan (pilates instructor) are in my head.
I block out negativity and stay more positive. My self - esteem has gone up - I feel better, healthier, fitter.
What is the worst habit you have that you’ve changed?
Nutrition! I quit coffee for a month and a half. My eating habits were never good but I started doing better on nutrition.
What advice would you give someone new?
Stay with it. If you need anything, Amy will help you out if something doesn't feel right.
The gym feels like a support group where we exercise. It's fun, we laugh, have a good time, and get a workout!
Outside the gym, what are your Activities / Hobbies?
Hunting, fishing, camping, I love being a Mom (3 kids - Boy 18, Girl 21, Girl 24)
Do you have a personal Mantra?
The Serenity Prayer.
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
What kind of music do you work out to?
Older rock - the music I grew up with. Def Leppard, White Snake, Kiss... I like the memory of it.
